Have you ever known a girl who wanted something so badly, that she tried too hard to get it? Meet Charity, the girl who wants to be loved so much, that she has lost sight of who she is. Charity sings, dances, laughs and cries her way through romances with the "animal magnetism" hero, the "ultra-chic continental" hero, and the "impossible-to believe-but-he's-better than nothing" type hero. Her world is the all too real world of Times Square, and the people who pass through her world are as deceptively charming a group as ever swept across any stage.

Welcome to The Garage Theatre Group Youth Conservatory – and our production of Sweet Charity We’re looking forward to a fun, entertaining, and highly successful show. We have an outstanding production staff, led by Richard Mover. You can follow the links for  some very important information and forms that need to be filled out. You will need Adobe Acrobat to download all forms. All forms (marked with an *) must be turned in no later than the Parent Meeting on Sunday, April 6 at The Becton Theatre, 960 River Rd., Teaneck.

Please follow these steps for your audition:

2.Remain in the lobby until your number is called

Cast Bio

Good luck on your audition! Remember the director is watching you from the moment your number is called. Take a deep breath, smile, and try to have fun. A positive attitude is very important. Ten performers at a time, in numerical order, will be called to audition. Please listen for your number to be called. Have respect for those who are auditioning and remain as quiet as possible while waiting. One at a time you will be called forward to audition. When you are called, introduce yourself in a nice, loud voice, and smile. After you perform your song, return to your group. Throughout try to relax and, remember, we all admire your ability and willingness to audition.

If you have any questions, please ask someone wearing a name tag. These are volunteer parents and members who have participated in prior productions. is the Director , is the Musical Director. Tippi Ulman is your contact in our office. Barbara Bias is the Audition Monitor. They will be happy to assist you with any questions you may have.
